Radio & GPS Mounting
Where do you put the radio and GPS? Everybody who
has ever had a Firestar has tried to find a convenient place.
Well, these block a little bit of the view, but
that is their only disadvantage.
Takes some scraps of Lexan from the windshield construction,
cold bend them to the proper shape, (you do make patterns first,
right?) and then rivet them to the side of the windscreen with
soft aluminum 3/16" washers and 3/16" backing plates.
We leaned ours at an angle so they were convenient.
Air intake vent is below and between them. Bad choice.
Moving the throttle causes you to hit your knuckles on the air
intake. Oops...
